How to increase your online visibility

If they do not know you exist then they will not come! That is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But for them to come to your brand, you need to take a few important steps. Let’s discuss how you increase your online visibility.

Online marketing is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get eyes on your brand. But many entrepreneurs are not utilizing the tools available or are simply doing the bare minimum to even get noticed.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO INCREASE YOUR VISIBILITY?

The more visible you are, the more people will engage and ultimately buy from you. I encourage my new business clients to focus on their visibility before they focus on their sales. They work hand in hand. The sales will come once you position yourself strategically so your audience can easily find you and associate you with providing expert offers. Your visibility is the ticket to daily sales.

So let’s talk about how you do it

1.Be consistent

Being consistent does NOT mean living on your phone or laptop. It means creating a disciplined practice of being present when and where your ideal clients are (use automation if you have to!). Your consistency will allow your intended audience the opportunity to build know, like, and trust with your brand and ultimately buy from you.

Consistency can mean different things for different business types. It may mean posting once or twice a day or even every other day, answering questions or going live weekly to teach your audience. Decide what it is for you, create a schedule, and stick to it!

2. Share a mix of content

People get bored easily. This is why for your online presence, you need to be creative. Does it mean jumping and dancing and acting like a clown? Only if this is who you are naturally. But seriously, what it means is that you want to share messages with your audience in a variety of ways. This may include:

  • Short-form content
  • Long-form content
  • Poll questions/ Quizzes
  • Videos, both live or pre-recorded
  • Memes and pictures

With the right mix of content that is meant to inspire, motivate and educate your audience, more eyes will be all over your brand in no time. Get creative!

3. Share other people’s content

This may sound a bit taboo for most people but hear me out. Sharing content from other sources that are already viral and has massive engagement is a great strategy! Viral content is a golden tool and knowing how to use it for your brand is an easy way to increase your visibility.

A rule of thumb is to share 80% of your original content and 20% of other people’s content. That content can also include celebrating somebody’s big win or their wins and losses to educate your audience. Do not knock it until you try it.

4. Engage with others

You want people to engage with you however you are not willing to engage with others! How does that work? It does not. Other brands and people tend to lean towards engaging with persons who engage with them. It takes 2 hands to clap and this is why posting alone is never enough.

  • A like
  • An emoji
  • A share
