Nobody ever said starting or running a business would be easy. It has its fair share of ups and downs. Trials and tribulations. But now it is easier to learn how to attract more clients so you do not waste time, money, and resources. If you want to attract more clients, then STOP doing these 5 things
1. Sharing the same image and message
Show your clients how versatile you are and get creative. Yes, I understand you want them to buy this thing from you. However, sharing the same image on social media or even in a newspaper will not necessarily attract more clients. I know the knee-jerk reaction is to simply repeat yourself as many times as possible with the hope that somebody will eventually buy. But your audience will get bored and disinterested. Also, do not assume they all consume information in the same way. The same message can be shared as a meme or a video or an infographic. Mixing up how you share your message, will attract more of your ideal clients
2.Only selling and not building relationships
As much as I know that your end game is to build a multi-million-dollar empire. Also know people buy from those they know, like, and trust. Your audience has to have established a relationship with you for them to make that emotionally charged decision to buy from you and even refer you.
Every interaction should be focused on building a relationship with your audience by sharing valuable information that inspires, motivates, and educates them. This relationship converts into sales. Once your ideal clients know that you are not just interested in shoving your offerings in their face but genuinely interested in their challenges and you want to build a relationship, then you will attract more clients
Too many entrepreneurs fall into this trap of inconsistency. Your audience needs to know that you are present. That you are there in the good time and the bad times. That you are a professional growing a business. That you care about them and their challenges.
You need to be consistent in how you show up and how you share. It is about being intentional and mapping out a strategy that has you consistently on your audience’s radar. The content you share and how you engage with them creates a trusting relationship. Consistency will help you attract more clients.
4.Only offering one solution
No rule says you have to only sell one thing at a time. Your clients need options! And if you can provide them with more options to buy from you or work with you, then you will not only attract more clients, but you will make more money.
Choosing what to offer, I know may be another challenge. But break up your biggest offering into smaller parts. Creating a combination of products and services and even create bundles. Remember that your clients are at different stages of the buying process, so each group may need something completely different from you. So, give them options!
5.Sounding like everybody else
Especially as a new entrepreneur, it is easy to fall into the trap of trying to sound and even look like others in your niche. Especially, if you assume their following is large or they are making money. The downfall of trying to sound and look like everybody else is that your business will get lost in the shuffle.
What attracts more clients is your ability to stand apart from the crowd. When your message and your visuals make them take a step back and dive into your message BECAUSE it is not sounding like everyone else.
IN CONCLUSION
Every entrepreneur wants to attract more clients to their business, but every entrepreneur is not doing it correctly. This list above is not exhaustive, but it is a great starting point o start attracting more clients.
When you decide to start your business, one of the things you should consider is how you are going to reach your audience to showcase your products or services. Most people start their business and immediately launch a Facebook page not taking into account the huge potential of a website for their business.
Unfortunately, every entrepreneur has experienced periods where they are not receiving the sales they want. Sometimes no sales at all. And it can be frustrating, debilitating, and even bring on bouts of anxiety. Especially, if you believe you are doing it all. I have been there as well. Where I enthusiastically launched a programme and got not 1 sale! But I have learned over the years how to handle these situations and what to look out for. I want to suggest that if this is your reality then do these are 5 things to do when sales are not coming in.
Like everybody else there are times when I fall into a funk. When I don’t feel motivated to get up and do what I know needs to get done. We have all been through these spells and trust me when I tell you it is very very natural.

Excellent article, and very accurate. I’ve been guilty of at least three that you spoke of and working hard to correct them as I build my business, and brand. Thanks for sharing.
