My 5 Business Mentors
One of the things that I realised early on as I built my business is that, I needed to surround myself with persons who not just have my mindset but who are steps ahead of me. I look to them for inspiration, motivation and of course for learning. Finding these people is not always easy because we know there are quite a few quacks out their selling pipe dreams. I have had my fair share of people jump in my DM’s trying to sell me stuff but no real evidence of how their systems actually works.
It has taken me quite some time to really hone on these 5 people who I look forward to hearing and seeing everyday. I call them my Internet mentors. I listen to every video they put out. I read every email they send. I have done numerous courses with them and I even share what I learn from them to my own tribe. What attracts me to them is that even though they have more or less the same ideal clients, the way they teach and how they share is different. I follow each one of them for specific reasons and I wanted to share the reasons with you:
CiCi
I only started to follow CiCi in 2018 and her journey has been very inspiring to me because she has battled illness and still has been able to master this entrepreneurial journey. The reason I follow her is because every single day she shows up and teaches her audience a new tool or trick and really challenges us to get into action. Her focus is specifically on how to create digital products for your business.
Her courses range from low tier to high end and I have done a few and attended her webinars and trust me when I say her techniques have helped me to scale my own business over a short period of time. I read every single email and I jump into almost all of her trainings and have bought from her continuously.
Shanel Cooper Sykes
Shanel is one of those mentors who really has mastered this mindset business. She preaches and speaks abundance into your existence in countless ways. I like Shanel because of her honesty and openness and she is not afraid to re-invent herself when need be.
She speaks a lot about harnessing your inner strengths and believing in yourself. From her I have learned to strengthen my own mindset work and my affirmation practices have increased ten fold.
Cassie Howard
Cassie I refer to as my soul mate coach because every posts she shares I always feel like she gets me. I like Cassie because she shares stories and is not afraid to speak her mind. Her authenticity is what attracts me to her coaching style and how she makes growing a business and making money seem ‘easy’ something she says all the time. Like CiCi, Cassie always provides a ton of value and numerous ways to work with her.
Because of my work with Cassie, I increased my level of journaling and selling daily, two things that I learnt go hand in hand because of following her trainings.
Rachel Miller
Rachel I recently stumbled across and I joined her Facebook group and that has been a big game changer. Her main focus of training is on optimizing Facebook and most recently Instagram. Based on the tools and resources she has shared in her free training alone, I was able to make big dents in my own reach and engagement on these social media platforms.
What attracted me to her was her consistency in showing up and how she cares for her tribe. She is actively involved in the group answering questions and she is not afraid to share any information with her audience about growing their business. Because of following her I feel more in the know of any changes happening on my social media platforms and she has become my go to person for latest news and views about all things algorithm!
Bushra is a big pill to swallow because her personality and energy are out of this world and I love it!!!! I usually take out my headphones when I am listening to one of her live trainings because the energy fills up my space. Her sense of humour is not everybody’s cup of tea but that is exactly why I like her because I get it! Her teachings was how I was able to really master my content creation and messages to my audience.
Her focus is on the psychology of selling through your messages. Her programmes are deep and intense but so powerful in its impact. She pays great attention in breaking down the details and show her audience step by step how to do the things that you need to do to grow your business.
What I admire is that they all come from different parts of the world and each has a unique story to tell about how they arrived at this spot in their lives. And they practice what they preach! You can see and experience their results day by day as they continue to share their journeys and their ups and downs.
