How You Use Storytelling To Capture Your Audience

How you use storytelling to capture your audience

Let’s talk about how you use storytelling to capture your audience. So what is so great about storytelling, storytelling is one of the best ways for you to capture the attention of your audience.

If you are interested in growing your business, getting in front of your ideal clients, and building that knows, likes, and trusts, then you should incorporate storytelling as part of your strategy.

But what stories do you tell?

You can tell the stories about your life, about your business, and you position yourself as somebody who has walked the road. You are walking the talk that you are sharing so you tell

  • your good stories,
  • your bad stories,
  • your client stories,
  • and why you start this business,
  • you tell all the stories around you the growth of your business,
  • growth of your clients,
  • growth of yourself

Your storytelling connects you to your audience because it makes your audience feel like they can relate to your journey. And when they can relate to your journey to your story, then it’s so much easier for them to say ‘yes’, I want to buy from this person, or I want to be around this person, or even want to be associated with this person.

You can tell the story of when you decided to start a business, why you decided to start a business, the story about your team, how you add to your team when you decided to do anything, you can share about your self-care about how you take breaks, you can share so much around your business. Trust me, your audience wants to know things about you so that you are not just saying buy from me.

STORYTELLING

WHERE DO I SHARE THEM?

The great thing is that they can be shared anywhere you like in a variety of ways. Let’s look at some of these places

  1. In your blog using long-form content, you can share stories about a specific topic that is near and dear to you
  2. In your live or pre-recorded videos, (podcast) you can share short stories that will connect with your audience, their struggles, and the solutions you are providing
  3. In any interviews, you can share your stories so the listeners can feel a sense of connection
  4. On your social media posts to drive a point home and show your audience how your solution will solve their challenge
  5. In an ebook, where you can break down your story and share actionable steps for your audience to follow
  6. At networking events to build a sense of trust and engagement

WHAT DO THEY ACCOMPLISH?

Those stories are how we connect. Those stories are how we build that know like and trust. And those stories are how you build an active and engaged audience, which is ideally what you want for your business. You want people who are actively communicating with your brand, engaging with your brand, asking questions, and sharing their own stories as well so that you have an idea of what your audience likes and does not like and use those stories.
