I want to talk to you about a client I currently have who ramped up their visibility in less than 6 months. This client came to me with a presence on Linkedin, but no real social media strategy. They were clear about their ideal clients but not a clear strategy of how to communicate with them consistently. They had great products and services and even a website but people still did not know they existed.
This client came to me for assistance in getting clear on their goals and developing a Marketing Strategy to grow their business. And they were enthusiastic. Like most entrepreneurs who start a business, they know they had a solution that many businesses needed. What they did not know was how to speak to and engage with that audience online in a way to build know, like, and trust before they even closed the deal

Sheldon and his team had been working assiduously to serve their existing clients but wanted the opportunity to increase their visibility both locally and regionally with potential clients. They were also on a mission to educate their audience about their services and provide tangible and practical solutions. They needed to seamlessly find ways to do this in alignment with their overall goals and objectives.
What we did
We did market research first! This is the step that many entrepreneurs skip. And that is a huge mistake. We took a complete audit of their present clients, their competitors, their online presence, their messaging and of course redefined their goal and broke it down into a 12-month plan and then further broke them down into 90-day goals.

When growing a business, you have to remember two main things

- Start with the end in mind
Most entrepreneurs make the mistake of jumping into a list of things to be done when trying to fine-tune their marketing efforts. But studies, research, and experience have shown that to move forward, you have to know where you are standing. And to create a growth plan, you have to get very clear about where you would like to end up!
From your goal, your strategy is derived. From your strategy, you can start to create your daily list of things to be accomplished over a specific period. Remember that building a business is a marathon, not a sprint.

I worked with Blu Networks to develop a yearly marketing strategy that was broken down into 90 day or quarterly goals.
We broke down the strategy into the following list of things to get done in 6 months
- Weekly Blog Posts with value and call to action (Launch)
- Email List Building with an email opt-in to attend a webinar (Launch)
- Webinar Series every quarter sharing valuable information (Launch)
- Website updates that focused more on the client, their challenges and their needs (Update)
- Increase social media presence through sharing daily content (posts, videos, images, infographics etc) and engaging under others posts and in DMs
- Bi- weekly Business Coaching (ongoing)
Each quarter focused on a new growth and visibility strategy and included the addition of an updated website with more focus on solution-based content, video and webinar marketing, email marketing, and direct marketing efforts.
Ramp Up Your Visibility: Outcome
Over the year, the visibility of Blu Networks has grown by over 70% on Linkedin because of weekly posts, videos, and engagement. They have started and continue to grow an active email list on Mailchimp and Mailerlite thru email opt-ins and webinar sign-ups. Hosted at least 3 webinars with a focus on industry-specific solutions and have been asked to speak on other platforms with collaborators.
In just 90 days, their connections grew by over 70%. More persons in their niche were tagging, messaging, and seeking their opinions. Their ideal clients actively sought out to provide solutions.
Blu Networks continues to share weekly blogs which have bought greater visibility and traffic to the website. They have also revamped their Youtube channel and regularly share solution-driven content that showcases their works and collaborations. He has also been featured on industry podcasts and has been asked to speak to other entrepreneurs about their journey.
In June 2021, they hosted their very first virtual event called – Infrastructure Solutions – Enabling the Transformation where they easily catered to over 200 virtual participants
An increase in your visibility does not happen overnight. Your strategy should give you room to grow steadily while engaging with your audience to build know, like, and trust.
