What are simple sales funnels and why are they even necessary? Let’s break it down, a sales funnel is a journey. It is the journey your client takes as they get to know you, to like you, and trust you. Now I know you may be saying that it sounds a bit like marketing however this is to intensify the reality that marketing and sales, while different are interrelated. That is to say, marketing gets people in the door and the sales keep them in the house. Therefore let me show you how to create simple sales funnels for your business.
You begin with your marketing. It is where you focus on bringing awareness to your business and building visibility and brand awareness. Marketing builds know-like and trust. Your marketing is the dating phase of your business and it is crucial because people would not buy from you if they do not know you exist or they do not trust you.
With your marketing, you share valuable information about your offerings using videos, stories, pictures, testimonials, etc and then you lead them into your funnel. This is called lead generation!
LEAD GENERATION
From your marketing, you lead your audience to your sales portals. Your sales portals can include your email list (most popular) or even a group or space where you can more intimately continue to build a relationship with your intended audience.
As you continue to share value, your audience is expecting an offer. Your offer can be low or high depending on your business model. As one of my coaches taught me, ‘You want to be a book store, not a library’.
A sales funnel is how you make your money, how you grow and scale your business over some time.
HOW COMPLICATED IS A SALES FUNNEL
This is the kicker. Many ‘gurus’ teach about creating a multi-tiered sales funnel that can appear complicated and overworked. However, the key thing to remember in creating your sales funnel is
It should be easy for you. Take some time and subsequently map out the journey for your audience. If it is hard for you, it is hard for them.
Make it easy for them. Most imporantly, they should not have to jump through hoops to get to your offer. The fewer steps the better.
It does not have to be long. Your funnel can be 2 steps or it can be 10 steps. Certainly, It is not a one-size-fits-all. Create a funnel that is easy, fun, moreover implementable over and over again.
EXAMPLES OF SIMPLE SALES FUNNELS
Let’s look at some simple funnel examples. In addition, some funnels are created to land a sale, and others are created to build more awareness.
For Example
Promote a webinar/training/series etc and give your audience a link to attend. This link should collect their names and email addresses and lead them to your email list where they continue to get valuable information and can purchase one of your offers.
Open a group and promote it. To join your group, request that they share their email address and names. They join your email list, continue to receive value in the group and via email and you can offer them a solution to their challenge.
Create an opt-in on your website and again collect emails and names and provide value and an offer.
Give your audience a sneak peek of your new book, access to a discount code, or exclusive rights to an offer but again, collect their names and email addresses and continue to share value and offer them a solution.
Most sales funnels start with an offer that leads to an email list or collection of client data so that you can more intimately communicate and engage with them.
Once inside your simple sales funnels, remember these two things
Firstly, Continue to provide value
Secondly, Sell them a solution
In the sales funnels, you can upsell, cross-sell or sell bundles. Most entrepreneurs when creating their funnels start off offering a free or low-cost solution and gradually offer higher-end products while their clients journey through their funnel. Certainly, this is a great approach as your client continues to build trust and get results from your offerings.
Most ideal clients in your funnel will buy from you over and over and this is where you experience growth.
Facebook changes its algorithms often and that is one of the main reasons, people have been saying it is dead. Sometimes it seems difficult to keep up with all the changes floating around. But it is definitely not dead! If you are using Facebook as one of your main social media platforms to stay connected to your audience, then consider these 5 things.
The market is so saturated with new businesses offering the same or similar services and we often asked by our clients how do they stand out. How do they let their voices be heard on a small budget? How do I ensure that people see me, my product or my service and how do I maintain my relevance. The answer is not simple but it is very doable.
