As an entrepreneur, one of the things you have to master early on in business is an understanding of what content is, where it can be found, how to share it, and when to share it. Finding content for your business is easy! Content is how you communicate with your audience about the solutions that you provide for them. It is through your content that you build know, like, and trust with your audience.
Some Examples of Content
When we think of content, many entrepreneurs assume it means creating a flier with a list of things they can do. And while a flier can be a useful piece of content, there are other examples of content you can incorporate into your business. For example:
A video
A long format story
A picture/meme
A question/quiz
An article/ blog
Using multiple types of content to engage with your audience ensures that you are communicating more clearly with those who need to hear from you. Always remember that your clients consume content in different ways. And depending on the platforms you are using to communicate with your audience, some pieces of content are more dynamic than others. But test using multiple types of content to see which ones your audience responds to. And the start to create content to get daily sales
Where to find content
The irony is that content can be found everywhere if you are intentionally looking for it. This has been the biggest challenge for most people who have started their business.
They always ask me where to find content to post consistently because they do not want to sound like a broken record.
These are the steps I usually take to find content
I look at the questions my clients are asking me about my business and turn the answers into pieces of content
I look at what others in my niche are talking about and turn the trending conversations into pieces of content
I look at trending conversations outside my niche and spin them into pieces of content
Content is all around you and if you are actively working in your business, every conversation or interaction with your clients, suppliers, or even influencers will provide you with content that you can share with your audience
When to share content
The next popular question is when to share the content. The simple answer is to share the content every day as much as you can. We are building businesses in a competitive world, so you want to position yourself as the solution to the problems of your ideal clients.
To do that, you have to show them that you understand their challenges and show them the solution, through the content you share. Which means you have to be consistent in sharing your content. It does not mean being tied to your computer every day all day, but it does mean being strategic and making your presence known and felt where your ideal clients are by showing up frequently…in most cases that means every day in various ways.
How to repurpose content
The thing I love to do most of all with my content is repurpose my content. Because many times your ideal clients need to hear the message a few times before they get it!
What does repurposing mean? Well, it means taking older pieces of content and resharing them with your audience. It also means taking one piece of content and sharing it in multiple ways.
Here are some examples:
If I wrote an evergreen blog 12 months ago, (evergreen means content that does not get old), once the information is still relevant to my audience, I can share the blog again with a new call to action or new heading or even with some updated information if necessary.
If I do a video explaining a concept, I can
Transcribe the video and create 2-3 posts about the concept
Repurpose those posts and turn them into 2-3 emails
Take those emails and turn them into a blog
Take the video and turn it into an infographic
The point is how you look at the content you are creating. This blog you are reading came to life because of
a. A video I did a few days ago on my Facebook page.
b. This will also be sent as an email to my audience.
I have given 1 piece of content at least 6 opportunities to be heard by my audience. This is the power of the content you are creating for your audience.

When you decide to start your business, one of the things you should consider is how you are going to reach your audience to showcase your products or services. Most people start their business and immediately launch a Facebook page not taking into account the huge potential of a website for their business.
Everybody needs a sales funnel in their business. But there are other reasons you need a sales funnel...besides money. A sales funnel is not just about bringing in the money in your business even if that is the ultimate goal. But as an entrepreneur, you also want to acutely aware of the other functions of your funnel. These are 3 reasons you need a sales funnel....besides money
The excitement of starting your own business venture is exhilarating. You have your perfect product or service and you have clients pounding at your door. Things are exactly how you envisioned.
